| | Shawn Talbott, Ph.D., is trained in sports medicine, health management, exercise physiology and nutritional biochemistry. He is the recipient of a dozen competitive research awards and has published over 100 articles on nutrition, health and fitness. Dr. Talbott is especially well-known as the author of The Cortisol Connection and as the creator of the highly successful weight-loss formula Cortislim. In addition, Dr. Talbott has consulted for numerous athletic teams and organizations, including the Utah Jazz and the U.S. Track and Field Association. In his spare time, Dr. Talbott enjoys competing in full Ironman triathlons, which consist of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and a full 26.2-mile marathon.
